The Journey of Language Mastery

At The Language Cave, we believe in a personalized approach to language education. Founded by Covadonga, an experienced language and Business and intercultural consultant, our academy reflects her passion for immersive learning, travelling and discovering. With over 2,000 hours of teaching experience across four countries, onsite and online, Covadonga integrates real-world and communicative scenarios into each lesson, ensuring students not only learn a language but also embrace its culture in a cozy, supportive setting.

Covadonga’s background also includes bein an IB teacher and the advanced knowledge of English, Italian and Portuguese (languages that she also taught to our colleague Pelayo the Bear) + French and German and Dansk grammar knowledge to help you by using the contrastive linguistics between your mother tongue and your target language. At the same time, she holds also a postgraduate degree in Languages and Business Relations, studies which have helped her to offer you an accurate vision of interculturality, sustained by her experiences abroad.

According to our passion, learning and teaching foreign languages, ‘The Language Cave’ comes from a linguistic game. ‘Covadonga’ (meaning in Latin: ‘Our Lady’s Cave’) is a powerful Asturian name related to water, battle and a Holy Cave in a beautiful shrine located in Picos de Europa. Definitely, a really meaningful term for whoever in the autonomous region of Asturias (Northern Spain).
But our cave talks also about Pelayo’s (our Asturian brown bear colleague) home and all the coal-mining factories that surround our valley. To sum up, a tribute to our roots and cultural inheritance, a way to thank our ancestors; because those are two of our language project’s pillars. As a professor of us said once: ‘Remember always where you come from and you will be able to achieve all your goals!’ At the same time, who has not left an own and comfy cave to discover or to improve lifestyle?
